I'm sorry but if anyone thinks that was a good result or performance against swansea then they are deluded.
The pardew team talk struck again, as we conceded just five minutes into the second half, bit like the hull game.
We only just got on the front foot in the final 10 mins and that was it. the rest of the game we were dominated.
Pardew just can't motivate the players to make a fast start or settle in the game. And once again, Cisse the isolated striker, managed to save pardew's skin (along with Krul who made some terrific saves) credit to Sammy as well for that assist.
Overall it was a poor performance, and IMO now is the best time to sack pardew and get a new manager because of the international break, regroup the players etc. but unfortunately it looks like he's staying till xmas.

And also, Cabella, clearly another flair player that pardew just can't seem to get his head round.

With you on your comments JToon. Way I saw it we only looked good when we changed to a 442 formation with Obertan and Sammy on the wings. This is exactly what I mentioned in my post in Newcastle Teams. Wonder how we would have done if we had played that from the start eh? Credit to Sammy and with the right side being used the least in the first half - well done to Obertan for providing the cross for our first goal!

Couple of things stood out for me when reviewing the game - Cisse was all over the pitch during the game. He shouldn't be tracking back to his own penalty box - if he does we have no outlet on the break and besides don't we have a dm and 4 defenders to break up opposition play on the field? Collo is again guilty of slack defending and ball watching - I'm convinced we should have a new and younger CB partnership in there now.

Has Cisse been offered the captaincy for his backing of Pardew in the post match interviews? :)

JT the performace was crap i agree but we got a point away from home ffs. Tiger i agree with you about new central defenders where we going to get younger c/d with premier league experience from ? we need to play two up top going with one ain't working. also where are we going to get a big target man from cisse is away to the african cup in jan.

Cheers geodietom the way I see it - Drop Collo, play Willo with Mbubu and recall MYM. Pair both with Willo to gain experience in Prem. REason is Willo has had a decent partnership with MYM in the past. I think he drops concentration or defers to Collo when he's paired with him. Keep them apart and he gains in confidence. Mbubu needs Prem experience and MYM has it but wasn't played enough in his natural CB position. Don't think we will spend or attract any experienced CBs in come January.

Be Happy JT, IF you checked the odds Newcastle were on a hiding to nothing so a draw was a good result

As for football you have watched the decline & should understand like most of us Newcastle under Ashley is a lost cause so football is secondary to him making money.

No one likes that but that is how it is We will get some results but where and who against I don't know

Any draw ageinst anyone right now has to be acceptable because we are not good enough to win. OK

MYM won't be coming back. To get a point at swansea is great. I am really embarrassed watching the newcastle defence. janmaat and collo don't seem to be able to communicate and neither track players

Spot on Digger a point away at Swansea these days is a good one. As for actual football we are a joke, with a defence that has no clue.

By the time Arsely wakes up and tries to bring defender and striker in January we will only have survival to hope for.
