Looks like another pointless year supporting NUFC.

Yeah 35mil moves for coric, benkovic from dimano zagreb, Wilson from Bournemouth, re signing Townsend and also signing barrow from Swansea

2.) 25 Jan 2017 21:18:50
Not until we get Krull, de jong, Rivierre, Thauvin and Saivet off the books is what I've been told.

3.) 26 Jan 2017 01:06:56
Wishful thinking as we know IF anyone cones in they will not walk straight into the team
Think Des is right a lot of dead wood still to move on

26 Aug 2016 14:20:31
Lots more talk about Sissoko going to Palace now. I think this will happen on deadline day. I have a couple of mates who are palace fans. They still think Pardew is great so Sissoko will be like Messi for them. No time to get replacements again. January might have to be a big window for us. If we are in the top two we might stand a chance of signing better players.

Starved for years Pardew fills a temporary void, but the fans wll wake up ths season.

2.) 26 Aug 2016 16:09:12
Starting to see a lot more palace fans turning on pardew now.

3.) 26 Aug 2016 23:30:37
McLaren is free.

14 Aug 2016 10:21:06
Galloway deal looks like it won't happen as Boro are now in tge driving seat.

desree

1.) 14 Aug 2016 11:55:54
I think we're still in thee driving seat dessy, I don't think Everton want him going to another premier league club. Let's hope he can improve the back four if he does come. We also need to get our fingers out and get a creative midfielder and out and out goal scorer in before the window shuts.

2.) 14 Aug 2016 12:28:15
He is on his way to Teesside.

3.) 14 Aug 2016 13:49:44
He's guaranteed a starting spot here, at Boro he isn't as their captain is friend who plays at left back.

4.) 14 Aug 2016 16:09:08
Give him a shout JT he is at the Riverside.

5.) 14 Aug 2016 16:56:44
only heard by the sunday people that middlesbrough are "interested" so hopefully we can get him in before the reading game.

6.) 17 Aug 2016 21:58:07
Desree you ask for pressing, and intense football, I saw that from the boys tonight.

Fantastic result.

7.) 18 Aug 2016 05:45:31
2nd half was a better showing, a long way to go JT. Remember we all thought norwich 6-2 would see the team crack on. As for our defence, the names change yet the mistakes are all the same.

Good goals by Gayle - but ritchie isn't just a class above, he celebrated harder than Ketsbai!

Pleased I could help Raffa and the lads with my advice. Vida had a word but took all the credit!

8.) 18 Aug 2016 11:28:42
He always seems to know what is going on.

Lat season he was spot on, and this season has started the same way but in reverse support of RB.

9.) 18 Aug 2016 17:39:08
Sitting in Oz is a little different from going to a live match especially away

The atmosphere the adrenalin from the patter and differing opinions (something we have all had) for absolutely sure
is the basis and mainstay of this club.

Perhaps it may be resoectful to read what is said by these fans before sceptically harping on about how poor we are and that nothing has changed, because it has.

For the first time in 13 years I feel a geniune optimism that Newcastle can build a decent squad.

The only question mark I have is if mike ashley has genuinely changed his ways.

Hey lads. I have a good football story to share. I got invited to an EPL boozy lunch a few weeks back in Sydney. It was hosted by Foxsports, Mark Bosnich, Robbie Slater (he played for west ham, blackburn) and the Foxsports presenter, a great aussie lad called Adam Peacock.

I went along in my 1995 grandad collar shirt and This Adam Peacock pulls me. It turns out he is a lifelong toon fan, his old man is from Gosforth. Under his shirt he is wearing the 1983 toon shirt.

He thinks the football is rubbish this season and he said that Foxsports get all their inside info from someone called Vida?

JToon, Vida, Art, Plunny - what's the craic?

desree

1.) 26 Jan 2017 01:23:17
Still disillusioned by the Oaf
And some poor results
It is football and entertainment but entertainment only comes and goes.
Too many people saying we are definitely going up, well it is going to be hard and if we are in the top 2 at the end of Feb I might just get my mojo back

So I managed to go to the Sheff Wed game boxing day. It was the lowlight of what was a brilliant Christmas in Newcastle.

My observations are this - The city of Newcastle is losing its Soul/ identity.

The match itself was woeful. The team are doing little to excite the fans.

The fans are like zombies. The only noise is mumbling and moaning and slagging off our own players.

Paying 30 quid to be cold and moan. Is that all newcastle fans want to do.

I got back to Oz for new year and took the kids to the t20 cricket. Great entertainment, exciting games and the crowds are full of energy.

My suggestions are to get rid of local hero, get some pumping music on, get the clackers back out, make some noise and show some pride.

No Geordie pride left? Newcastle seems to be full of student accomodation and k8ds trying to be the next Geordie Shore star.

And I would like to mention the middle aged blond lady who was giving a bj to a bloke in the lifts at the Botanist at monument mall - classy.

Good assesment

2.) 18 Jan 2017 20:47:55
Not how I remembered it Vida. You would think NUFC had always been a team of superstars the way the fans went on. Dummet and Collback aren't fantastic but they care and put in a shift.

I just wonder how the players would respond if there was the noise I remember for the 5 minutes before and first 20 mins of the match.

I had more fun on the Santa train at north shields than at the match. The match was that bad, I started wishing I had gone tobthe mother in laws instead.

3.) 26 Jan 2017 01:18:08
Yeo you summed it up well
And we are a Championship team and frankly I can not see Ashley entering into the spirit of the PL (if we go up) it is beyond his spending requirements and Benitez will want and need to spend most of the TV money
I have stopped going to the matches and that is sad but the 2nd relegation and idiotic management appointments have p****edme off
I'll wait until we are in the too 10 of PL before I even think of buying a ticket
Might as well be in Oz

4.) 08 Feb 2017 11:31:14
The hottest summer on record mate. When I got back it was 11pm and 30 degrees. Its hot, the property is more expensive but everything else is the same mate - except chinese take aways don't sell chips and curry.

Well boys. It has been great fun this last few weeks with the old gang back together. I wonder what position we will be in January.
Lots of questions still but you would have to say it has been an unbelievable transfer window.

Really impressed with Raffas ability to get sh! t done. The 3 signings that will make or break our season Gayle, Ritchie and Mo Diame.

Jury out on all the others but Daryl Murphy could be an inspired signing. I felt a few weeks back Raffa wasn't getting enough street smarts in the squad.

On a final note. The Brighton performance was the most professional performance from NUFC in my living memory. More of the same please boys.

Until January Vida, JT, Plunny and Art throw some snags on the barbie. I'll be in the toon in December. Hopefully I can get a match in and take the young un. He is only 4 so hopefully he will get over the trauma in time!

We need sit and watch and appreciate we have 11 players on the field that want to play for Newcastle.

Hopefully the path will be a smooth one, but for sure we have a chance because of some astute buying and money in the coffers (opposed to Ashley's pocket.

Enjoy the match with your son in the harsh reality of weather in Newcastle,

24 Aug 2016 13:42:40
Yedlin right wing Ritchie left? Or sissoko staying and Ritchie on the left? Janmatt to watford. Clearly the players we buy are not good enough. Many aren't fit for purpose. I notice you all seem to be getting nervous now lads.

When we lose on Saturday you get back to cricket

It's the Champoinship not the PL
On your reckoning Palace will win the PL

Match on the telly Des on Saturday.

2.) 24 Aug 2016 22:35:44
We do have the internet down under now Vida. Brighton is the real test for sure.

3.) 24 Aug 2016 22:56:50
Des it is on ssn 17:30 thought you could get that

Brghton are coming to win and the fact we don't have a settled team is worrying

Only hope a Striker and Winger are signed before the window shuts.

4.) 25 Aug 2016 00:29:26
SKY I mean.

5.) 25 Aug 2016 13:31:55
Definitely need a striker now.

6.) 25 Aug 2016 15:39:32
Needed a striker for 3 seasons.

I think for once all fans are united. I can only hope that the intent is to sell the club and they are trimming every cost to increase the value.
Maybe that is why Keith Bishop has been involved recently?

Vida - I am quietly confident we will struggle. Relying on other teams to keep us up.

Ritchie 3 goals last time in the prem

Gayle 10

Perez 6

Mitro 10

Thats 29 goals maybe another 20 collectively from the team.

We need to keep clean sheets. Not sure if we have the capability to manage 8.

Goals win games, clean sheets get points.

Rafa is a great coach. But the squad is arguably weaker since we were last in the Prem.

If we had a real leader at the back Shawcross or a 15 goal striker I would feel better.

All the signings show potential, but Raffa doesn't have a 100% record with transfers.

I am sure Rafa will figure out a system to get the most out of what he has got. But I don't expect miracles.

Not that different to the year we bought de jong. Bargain basement buys that we were all trying to be positive about. I seem to recall me commeting that the Facundo bloke looked a decent player! And Rivierre was the next Thierry Henry. We are mugs. Although Jacob Murphy looks a better player than Townsend so I think that could be a good bit of business by Rafa.

I agree with Vida. Mike Ashley is in control. He is sticking and hoping we get 17th. How come no one is offering crazy money for any of our players?

we don't play with two strikers so surely we want someone to compete against, not compliment Gayle, which Remy would be great.
