Its not just wages to be paid at a football club! you have costs of travelling, running costs of stadium, tax is another biggie. Then you have local authority payments. Police payments. all added up i'm sure it comes to quite a tidy sum. If ashley is taking money out of the club for himself then so be it. he's the owner and if I owned a business I would too because this is why businesses are set up in the first place. to make money. Not a fan of mike but as the club owner he does what he wants and has every right to. if you had paid multi millions for something you surely would want to do what you feel fit. Does some one else tell you where you can go in the car you bought?

Whether debuchy wants to follow cabaye or not what makes you think PSG want to sign debuchy?

Can understand why a player would pick liverpool over us but no way should any player join stoke over us! plus have stoke got 10 million? they've just had to swap a striker!

He scored 6 times in germany. so if he only started 6 games or played 6 full games then that's still a sign he can get goals if given a run in the team and with full games

He looked a good player in holland. Plenty of goals. Not a great time in germany though so let's hope he can get back to where he was a year ago. Dutch players have a decent history in english football and tend to fit well into the EPL. now for a midfielder. grenier doesn't look bad but i'd prefer cabella. Different type of player to cabaye ( more attack minded) but apparently a really good player who like to carry the ball and run at defenders.

Andi has some valid points but maybe expressed in wrong manner. we have to be realistic and realise its never going to be the case under mike that we spend 25 to 30 million every window. spent over 20 last january but that was left over from sales etc. yes cabaye gone but he is replaceable and if can be replaced cheaply then why not. mike isn't a football man and that's where he lacks. he's a business man and his credentials can't be questioned in that area. unless your alan sugar or richard branson. if we bring in grenier or cabella for example then we've replaced cabaye and got a striker on top so not a bad window. 1 out 2 in. always a plus.
