Struggling to understand what's going on with Amanda Staveley there's conflicting reports some saying she is the actual BUYER although I thought she's just connected to these middle eastern groups with the 28billion, I thought she'd be the one to negotiate the deal and complete the takeover between the buyers and Ashley
Latest is that Ashley wants to sell up asap as he doesn't want to spend in January (when does ever do that anyway)

Coukd be Stavely is actually wanting to buy Liverpool which she tried to do before on behalf of investors and to be their link at the club with a possible Benitez return.
Her corporation is not one of the companies who have signed confidential agreement.
I hear a Chinese group are near to taking their interest further.

Don't want us to sell Gayle. Shown for palace he's half decent in the prem and his pace causes problems, would be stupid to sell with no replacement and can't think of anyone we could get who would be just as good for 15-20m. He's been unfit last 2 games but he's useful and a different kind of striking option to have.
Just need to ship out Krul, Hanley, Lazaar, Colback then get some signings in, should be no excuses now. Think Benitez is more keen on saivet than colback.

And he's the customary come down after high spirits from a win. Rafa now linked with West Ham job again and has a release clause of £5m+ which you'd imagine West Ham would have no problem paying, ultimately its his decision though. Would he go? Owners have more ambition, money and better players and would give him power, but in terms of stadium, fans, potential, stature, what do they have that we don't?

ed is it true that if benitez wanted to leave he'd have to pay £6m himself then if another club wanted him they'd have to pay £6m?

It will typically require any interested club to (a) request the permission of Newcastle United to approach him, and (b) pay a fixed amount of compensation if agreement is reached for him to move. Enjoy lads, have a good evening with a few tinnies. Really really good performance, so many contenders for man of the match, merino for me. Everyone put in 100% very proud.
Mitro though summing up why he's obviously behind Joselu in the pecking order, could have easily screwed us over.
Ironic thing is Ashley could now be thinking we don't need any more players, perfect chance now for us to keep the morale and confidence up with a few good signings

Looks like we've found Shelvey's competition in Merino and I agree basically we need direct replacements for Elliot, Lazaro, Diame and Riviere
Looks like colback is finally going although he puts 100% in he's simply not good enough, Sunderland can have him back if they want.

Also can I just say Murphy looks like a waste of money, seen nothing good of him, the fact he can't beat a tiring simon francis in a foot race was the final straw for me. Thought we had a player with pace and flair but he's shown nothing

Rafa is doing his best with a poor squad in quality with few premier league talents in shelvey, lascelles, ritchie. Can't really fault their effort, they just fatigued towards the end, can't understand why joselu was taken off/mitro wasn't brought on, we had no target man to hold up the ball or relieve the pressure. I was impressed in the first half but simply weren't clinical enough, and playing a high line played right into their hands. Bournemouth deserved the win in the end, saw it coming.
We need so much more quality in the striker and no10 positions, also a proper left back which we've been crying out for for years, and a goalkeeper. Shelvey was class yesterday as well and worked his socks off, remained disciplined, ref yellowed him just because of his reputation imo.

We are carrying 4 players who are not PL league standard
Huddersfield Brighton Burnley and Bournmouth mediocre teams and we lost to all of them add to that Southampton winning until Petez lost the ball.

Saw that before the game started, we lack so much quality and technical ability in attack its unreal. The team has a work ethic but aren't at the level of the likes of southampton etc. let's hope this takeover goes through and rafa can drastically improve this squad.
Anyway on to bournemouth now, hoping we'll be more suited to it as they'll come and attack us, giving us more space to counter attack.

Credit to rafa he's doing a fantastic job, 6th in the league who'd have thought it after that "crisis" of a window.

Benitez likes him as he defends from the front and will work his socks off. Ideally, he needs a number 10 who will not only do that but also offer a creative outlet.

We’re playing as a unit and as you say are organised and disciplined. Won’t be a top 10 finish but if we keep going like this I’m sure we’ll be able to stay up, which is the main priority.

If we're going to stick Shelvey in play him no10 imo and Merino alongside Hayden, Merino much more disciplined and far better work ethic.
