question for ED . MBEMBA has signed got his work permit. but he needs an over seas visa can you explain this for me please

{Ed001's Note - not sure what you need explaining? It is standard practice to require a visa. Most Brits do not understand because the UK Govt has deals with almost every nation in the world so that the passport stamp is a tourist visa. To get a residency visa, to stay more than a couple of months, requires a different kind of deal though. Usually the company will apply for it and in the case of a footballer, who has a work permit, it is just processing paperwork, unless there are any issues which would see a visa being refused. Such as having a criminal record, which would normally lead to a visa being denied.}

Well said Ed

{Ed001's Note - I hope that explained it ok, I am not sure what he didn't know. Most people who have never worked abroad will have never had to deal with visas. We are very lucky those of us with a British passport, as that acts as a visa in most countries. My brother in law to be couldn't get a visa to go to Italy as his passport showed no evidence of him traveling for holidays. The problem is that he keeps getting rejected a visa to go anywhere on holiday to get any passport stamps to show he goes to places on holiday! It made me realise just how lucky I am not to have those kind of issues going abroad.}
