According to Luuk De Jong we haven't even made an offer for him. Thought JK had been in Germany sorting this out. Guess he is lost.

fnuklnuk

1.) Naaa he's been on a bratty n beer trip.

According to the Sunday mirror JK wanted to sign Shane Ferguson from Birmingham even though he already owned by us.

A City source told Sunday People Sport: "Ferguson had a particularly good game that night and Joe Kinnear told one of our officials he was interested in signing him.

"At first our guy thought he was joking but then he realized Kinnear did not know Ferguson was already a Newcastle player. "

I hope this isn't true but I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't.

1.) I heard this as well and i'm pretty sure it's true! Absolute person

2.) It has been confirmed by Birmingham City staff. MAYBE now the whole country, who think we are hard on them, will see what a bunch of Clowns we have ruining our proud club.

From reading through the minutes from Monday night's meeting it seems next season will be very similar to this. Anybody who buys a ticket for a cup game wants their head testing.

fnuklnuk

1.) Just read the minutes and think anyone going to any game next season needs their head testing!

Lets look at exactly what has been said:

Same manager, no tactical awareness, aggressive to opposition players and managers, and a yes man to the board. (BTW wasn't Carver our assistant manager also fined for a punch up this season?)

Transfer policy of spend as little as possible on players with a sell on potential. So no marque signings and definitely no established stars coming to SJP soon.

Looking at the press release when Charney was appointed, he states that the club will look for 1 or 2 players a season to strengthen the squad - good luck with that when you've got at least 6 vacancies in your squad this summer Lee!

We can't compete with other clubs in the top 6? How come we got 5th only 3 seasons ago then? Btw, ManCity and Chelski have rich owners but Arsenal, Liverpool and Man U haven't exactly broke the bank to get where they are. They did it by being successful in cup and league competitions and having youth systems that produce senior players. Makes sense to me! Advertising comes from success not from balancing books Mr Ashley!

No cup run priority next season? See above and let's be honest we all want to see some glory back don't we. Even if it is the FA or League Cup!

So next season in a nutshell is: let's stay mid table if we can with no investment in players and no ambition for glory in any competition. Sound really exciting for each any every Toon fan that, don't it?

Oh and let's not forget that the club is not up for sale at the moment so there's no chance of any deal coming together to change the club soon.

I shake my head in dismay at how the club I fell in love with, the entertainers that we were, has been hacked to bits by the current regime. Sigh!

2.) Simple question, if club say they don't want progress in cups, why don't they offer tickets to home cup games for a fiver? I mean it's totally unreasonable to charge people over that if there is not intention to win a game.

or why enter the cups at all?
i mean, if by some very lucky results we get to the final, Pards will be called to the boardroom and be given the research statistics. basically they'll tell him to 'lose the game'.

Ed what you think the chances of Pardew getting the bullet after that. Complete person taking the shine off what has been a top performance. Southern press is going to love this.

fnuklnuk

{Ed001's Note - I honestly don't see him getting the bullet, not while Newcastle are in the Prem and he is working for so little. It would cost Ashley a lot more money to hire any other manager.}

1.) Thanks Ed. The media witch hunt is out in force already. Find it hard to see him keeping his Job. No doubt Cashley will bring JK in short term until the end of the season.

{Ed001's Note - I don't think I could handle editing this site if Kinnear was appointed again!}

2.) I feel your pain Ed. Stranger things have happened at Newcastle though.

Padrew's post match press conference was his usual puppet display. "We are going to need at least two or three signings who come straight into that team or have a very, very good chance of starting. " "I think we have got a summer where we are going to have to be a lot more active than we have been for a while because we are looking light in certain areas. " 2 or 3. I would count at least 10 leaving in the summer possible more. Ashley hand must really be hurting his back by now.

fnuklnuk

1.) If 6-8 players like we'll need to sign 7-9 players. We need at least 4 or 5 players "over the line" even if no one leaves

How much more of this we going to take? If their is 52000 there against Spurs we deserve ever bit of this treatment we get from this regime. We can argue all we like that he has our money already, support the team not regime. Utter rubbish. Do you think Cashley cares that we have just be hammered at home again by Sunderland? It is time for change and only way that will happen is to stay away from the games.

fnuklnuk

1.) Agreed, but we need to do more more than just stay away from games, have campaigns and protests, we really need to get the message to ashley and kinnear to just f*** off

2.) JToon buddy staying away is all we need to do. Protests campaign are wasted on this lot. They know how we feel, they have know for sometime and just laugh. Money is all Cashley is interested in. Starve him of that and he will be gone like a shot.

I don't get how it is so hard for to sign good young players. Obviously the transfer fee is a stumbling block constantly but its an easy sell. We have no ambition so their is no pressure on the player to do well and if he does play really well he will get a dream move to a club with ambition and a pay rise to boot. No brainer for me.

Since when did Santon play at CB and why buy a RB if he wants to play at the back?

He would be a top signing for us. Hope it comes off.

De Jong is very much a creative player and is also more of a link man rather than an out and out striker. If in your opinion De Jong is not Cabaye replacement then Cabaye won't be replaced. Colback, Sissoko Anita even Abeid are able to play alongside Tiote.

I can see Baldy's point although I am happy with the window so far. Cabella is a replacement for HBA when he leaves. De Jong is Cabaye replacement and Colback replaced Gosling. Perez is part of the development squad and Jannment has replaced Debuchy. So it is 1 in 1 out. Saying all that a couple of good strikers and a solid CB and it would have been a good window.

Nothing exciting about that side. Janmatt is a RB and Santon is LB so that 3 at the back won't with them. Also why Saylor? Surely he would play Willo rather than Taylor who is useless.
