Lescott leaving city at the end of this season, wouldn't mind him at NUFC for a short while if colo goes.

Ashley is not behind the team, he's rubbing his hands together at the profits being made and he will continue to take as much money from the club as he can and rip the heart out. The heart being the fans, were all loosing patience with him. Pardew probably does believe he will be able to spend in the summer but I wonder if Mike Ashley will actually back him. We won't get away with signing these cheap players and turning them in to stars for long. It will catch up, we need to mix it up, get some experienced players, just 1 or 2, onces colo is gone we need a leader. This seasons pretty much done and we will probably finish where we are now but let's support the team and hope 1 of 2 things happen. 1) Ashley gets his wallet out and shows ambition and makes some key signings. 2) Ashley sells up and early on so the new owners can get their money in the market.

Im sick of people blaming Pardew, he's got us in to positions to push on under a regime that doesn't back him IMO he is there because he owed money to Llambias. He isn't the greatest manager however but considering what he's working under he's done well and has never been backed in the transfer window and has been left out of big decisions. I've seen him make good subs at good times and won us points. You can't judge him on that now as we don't have anyone to come on a make a difference the team basically picks its self. I feel the dressing room has been lost but he's kept it together for some time. i'd imagine the players that we have brought in were told we have ambition and we want to be in Eurp/CL and there now unhappy as when were in a position to push on Mike Cashley doesn't spend. Never moving forward aslong as ashley is here. STOP BLAMING PARDEW the blame is with the fat man. Tell me if i'm wrong but that's just the way I see it?

1.) In my opinion your wrong, but not completely wrong. Pardew is undermined by those above him who have made his role at the club untenable. However. Pardew picks the team, roles, tactics and is suppose to motivate the team which he is failing miserable at. So he is as much to blame as the rest.

2.) I agree fnuklnuk however we've just got to forget about pardew, and just focus on trying to force ashley out. boycott the matches, stop buying from SD and club shops etc. Pardew has done a good job with his hands tied behind his back. BUT he has angered me so many times with tactical decisions, like concentrating our play around 1 player i. e cabaye, ba. so when they leave the team just fall apart. Changing the tactics immediately in the middle of the season just because our best player leaves, which is ridiculous and completely disgruntles the squad. No plan B, if our tactics were going to be based around 1 player then surely in the summer you prepare a plan B that every player can adapt to in case that player leaves/gets injured?

3.) Jtoon you are preaching to the choir buddy. I haven't been back since the derby and have no intention of going back. There seems to be a tsunami of anger towards Cashley and boycotts and the likes have been mentioned across numerous forums. However when 48000 still turn up for the Spurs mauling its looks a long struggle ahead.

Im not sure getting rid of Pardew is the way forward, Ashley needs to go first then a new owner can come in and maybe then we can attract a decent manager, I would have Di Matteo. But he wouldn't come under the current regime. Pardew has done well considering the powers above him.

Mick2014

1.) Ashley is going nowhere whilst he has a platform to advertise his sh#t everywhere and based on last nights attempt at protests it's not likely to change anytime soon!

2.) Loyalty cuts two ways - diehard fans are the ones keeping Ashley at NUFC, but there's no loyalty TO the fans from either MA or the players, who, let's face it, are just mercenaries. 52,000 for the Mackems, 42,000 for Spurs - more and more are getting the message!

3.) I read their was just over 48 thousand attended last night (not sure how many spurs fans), and this midweek game was never going to sell out unlike the mackem game so although I think your right that more are getting the message I fear there will never be enough to make any real difference!

4.) PFM: Telegraph reports attendance 42, 264.

5.) Do yous think Pardew is to blame though? I just think a lot of people have gave up on blaming Ashley and are starting to want Pardew out the door as they can't see Ashley leaving. For me though he's done well, problem is anytime we look to be in a position to kick on and push forward he hits a brick wall with players being sold, or lack of transfer activity or some other publicity stunt to upset the fans and once again get ashley some publicity for his beloved sports direct. I have heard rumours he is slashing prices on all the stock and basically asset stripping the club which is a sign that he's making what he can and looking to sell up. Not sure if its true or just an optomistic view from myself :/

6.) Hope that's true mate! Tbh I don't mind pardew obviously we could do better but we could also do a hell of a lot worse so better the devil you know! I do however think pardew could surround himself with better coaches!

Apparently he wants it to create more of a platform for WWE and make it as big in the UK/European market as it is in the states, He also was rumoured to want St James to be used to host some of the WWE events. Basically just another business man with no interest in Newcastle and sounds very similar to Mike Ashley in that he's using us to advertise his other company. Just a side step in my opinion. We need someone who cares about the club, who has real ambition for the club and who is willing to lose some money initially and then reap the rewards.

To be fair to Pardew he has to deal with everything in the media etc, Ashley and his minions don't come out and speak ever, the only time Llambias did was after he announced he would be given a statement, then he would sit down round a table and put some words together. Pardew has to stand in front of the media all the time and answer questions about anything and everything. i'm not even sure he knows what's going on to be honest I do think he's done well considering though and there's no one better who would actually take on the job. The bottom line is Ashley needs to go. I want an owner who cares and an owner who can appoint someone who can take us back to the entertainers we were once known. Ashley gets what he wants week in week out and that's publicity be it bad or good its still publicity. All the fans should go in to the stadium with tops/signs/banners advertising a competetor of sports direct. That would annoy him ha.

Agreed, I don't care how we got them just that we did. I hope Ashley does sell, and I hope someone comes in and gets the club for 100mill and then invests and takes us forward. I was never a fan of someone coming in and throwing Money at us but its the only way to compete at the top and I believe we are a club that should be at the top, not because of the players etc but purely because of the fans, we deserve more.

Pardew for me is doing all he can, like I've said how do you motivate players when Ashley has clearly made it obvious that anyone at any point could be out the door and players can be replaced with cheaper alternatives, this shows lack of ambition and the players won't be getting a positive vibe from that. Ashley needs to go, Pardew going won't change a thing. We are merely a stepping stone to bigger and better things for players.
