One thing you can say about this current crop of players we have now, regardless of whether its good enough or not, is that the players clearly care for us, the manager and each other. Everyone works hard for each other its almost alien to us we've had so many years under pardew/mcclaren/carver with squads that are full of mercenaries

Agreed stoke will be very tough wouldn't be surprised if we drew, they're hard to beat and have plenty of talent going forward with Jesé, Shaqiri and choupo moting.

Swansea had a few as well but they were cancelled out.

Hughes has built a team of battlers based on his own game and they will be coming for points.

Would be ideal to see Merinio and Shelvey playing with Merinio in the Perez position and some work on the training pitch with Atsu and Murphy would be a good thing.

The full backs are fine but perhaps Clark (not that he is bad) can be replaced by our recovered CB.

Seems off the pitch the team are pulling in one direction.

If we're going to stick Shelvey in play him no10 imo and Merino alongside Hayden, Merino much more disciplined and far better work ethic.

Yes much stronger formation which wull he needed agaunst Stoke and means Perez is in the bench.
